Club's History in Film
Website: www.TheMountainRunners.com
Todd Warger is now
making a film (The Mountain Runners) regarding the 1911 - 1913 Mt Baker
Marathon races that
took place here and initiated by the Mt Baker Club. For those of you
not familiar with the 1911 race, it pitted runners against the elements
as they left Bellingham, and had to run to the very top of Mt Baker and
back to Bellingham. Contact Terri Krantz if
you would like to be in this film or have any info on the 1911-13 Mount
Baker Marathons at 360-510-2961, or email at:

Mission
of
the
Mount
Baker Club
Welcome
to the Mount Baker Club. For over 90 years our all volunteer
organization has served the Whatcom County region.
We invite you to join us and participate in our many activities. Our
purpose is to provide regular opportunities for hiking, biking,
snow-shoeing, cross-country skiing, canoeing, and kayaking, as well as,
monthly social activities. We also promote the conservation of
recreational areas which are of interest to the club's members. A great
way to meet new friends and explore the area. All events and activities
are open to the public at no charge.
