Fun
Members attend social events, twice yearly camp outs and enjoy year-round recreational activities ranging from hikes, canoe adventures, camp-outs, biking, parades and more.

Here's a quote from a new member:
I wanted to thank you for the wonderful story about the Mt. Baker Marathon.  I was sitting in the balcony and recognized you (Marjan Eicher, former President and Board Member), but you were busy talking with someone and I did not want to interrupt when I went down.  Now I want to become a member of the Club and support your organization and hopefully do some of the easy hikes.
--- Pam Borso, Custer Resident.

Letter From Whatcom Museum
Praises Mount Baker Club

Richard Vanderway, Curator of Education at the Whatcom Museum, wrote a letter to Mel Monkelis thanking the Club for its February 11 presentation at the museum. Portions of the letter are quoted here:

“Thanks so much to the Mount Baker Club for the great program on your history and activities presented at the Museum on Sunday, February 11. How great that the Mount Baker Club is nearing its one hundredth anniversary. To think that the group has stayed active and relevant and vibrant for such a long period, passing the torch through generations. Thanks to the Mount Baker Club for all you’ve done to promote the environment and the wilderness, to promote ethical hiking and a love of the outdoors, and to support the superstructure of outdoor leisure through trail building, the Winchester Lookout, and other volunteer endeavors. The Mount Baker Club is a special group filled with outstanding and admired individuals. Thanks for being an important part of Whatcom County for almost 100 years.”
